LIFE STORY OF OUR FOUNDER TUNCAY EKİN
Our founder, Tuncay Ekin Bey, was born in 1948 in the Biga district of Çanakkale as the first son of a tradesman father. He studied high school in Biga. What he learned from his father's life experiences at a young age throughout his high school life. He studied at Istanbul Technical University and graduated as a Mechanical Engineer in 1972. He worked as a Mechanical Engineer in private companies such as Philips and state factories such as Sümerbank. His own company, Ekinler Elektronik, was established in 1983 in order to transfer his experiences to the welfare of the country. The first establishment programs were quite challenging, working until the first light of the morning in a small workshop set up with a single machine and a single craftsman.
With its foresight in the technical field, it has always produced progressive and innovative products and supported our country's major companies such as Philips/Arçelik/Beko/Profilo/Vestel as an auxiliary industry.
In human terms, he was a Tolerant, Benevolent, Democratic and Populist person. He trained many engineers in his business, gave them ideas and developed a vision.
He married in 1975 and had two children. He was very devoted to his family. He always protected his employees and family.
Ekinler Elektronik expanded abroad by increasing its product diversity and expanding its coverage area. The company name changed to Ekinler Endüstri. He strived to institutionalize the company by creating new areas of activity.
Always open to the new era and new suggestions, he left the company to the second generation and advised young people.
He passed away on September 17, 2021, after a sudden illness and a long illness in 2021. As we promised him, we will always stay true to his ideals and work with all our strength to pass on his work, Ekinler Endüstri, from generation to generation.
